Postcard from a dream

I wake up and I'm here.

It's our country home!  We bought it a few years ago and really, it's one of the smartest things I've ever purchased with a big pile of money.  Mortgage schmortgag!  Here's the backyard.

Charming, right?

We have dinner parties here with all of our friends and kids and dogs.  We roast lamb with rosemary.  We serve tomatoes from the garden.  We drink bottles of rose.  When the afternoon melts into dark, we make a fire and the neighbors play Bossa Nova songs on their guitars.  We dance!  We laugh!  I'm wearing couture!

But only during the day.  At night, I change into more couture!

Anyway, the evening is sublime.  We fall into bed, exhausted, happy, full.  When we wake up, we're here.

What hell happened?
