Happy Sunday

Warhol waited in a crowd to shake hands with the pope. That's shocking. Even more shocking, the guy with Andy, Fred Hughes, is the one who really said, "I'm deeply superficial."

In his obituary, Mr. Hughes was credited as being "largely responsible for Warhol’s tremendous commercial success. He had a brilliant eye and a great sense of art history."

In another account, he was described as "a consummate liar, social climber, and a bespoke SOB who grew to total ghoulishness."

Humans are so complicated.
